Stop the Estuary Airport
New report says there are no "insoluble" issues to prevent an airport being built in the Thames Estuary.
Mayor Boris Johnson is considering building a new London airport in the
middle of England's most important bird migration flyway, the Thames Estuary.
What many first thought of as another one of Boris's bad jokes is now
being taken seriously by many, not least, the rich Arab oil tycoons now
willing to back these proposals.
For those of us devoted to saving our wild spaces, this plan is an environmental disaster for the Estuary and North Kent Marshes. Sites of Special Scientific Interest and internationally important areas for wildfowl and waders now face destruction on an unprecedented scale.
Please act now to stop this from becoming a reality; make your voice
heard. Join forces with Medway
Council and Stop the
Estuary Airport; sign their petition
now.
